The Impossible Game

The Impossible Game is a maddening arcade style music app. Tap anywhere on the screen to jump over spikes and land on blocks to get to the end of each level. Recently while playing it, I actually found myself muttering “this is impossible.” So I went searching the internet for help and cheats. The only thing I was able to find were videos of people rocking through the levels on their first attempt.

Jumping over spikes is pretty straightforward, however the blocks are a little more challenging. You need to time your jump so it lands on the block and then hold down your finger so you keep jumping when you have to get past multiple blocks. The music will help you with your timing so I recommend playing with the volume on.

You can play in practice mode by placing a flag at any point in a level. Don’t place the flag too close to a spike or a block because you won’t have time to jump and your number of attempts will skyrocket.

The Impossible Game rewards persistence with Medals. You can achieve a 500 Medal for 500 attempts without quitting, or the 999 medal once you’ve jumped 999 times. You will also get rewards for each level you complete both in practice mode and without flags.

In my first sitting (I wasn’t aware of the 500 Medal) I played 100 attempts without quitting. If you’re just a little OCD and enjoy arcade style games, the Impossible Game will be right up your alley.
