BackStab

Backstab is an awesome 3rd person hack and slash role playing app.  I might be a little biased because I LOVE games having to do with pirates, ships, and cannons.  I started this game thinking it was going to disappoint, but instead it delivered in every way.  You play a former officer of the British navy who goes rogue to get some sweet revenge.  You have a sword and a flint lock pistol at your disposal to do with what you will.  The best way I can describe it is Grand Theft Auto with swords and black powder.  You run around doing basically whatever you want and complete missions at your leisure.

This is NOT a kids’ game.  The BackStab app has quite a bit of intense violence and I would never let a child play it. That being said, it is a great guilty pleasure for adults. The intro alone got me all hot and bothered when I watched it, and the gameplay is no different.  I’ve only made it a little way though the storyline but I’m super excited to play more.  This is a great app, and I definitely recommend it!

Backstab Walkthrough

 
Do what the game says and learn to back-stab!  When starting off a tough fight with multiple opponents, sneak up behind one of them, wait till a red glow appears around him, and then hit your sword button.  It will be an instant kill.  Next, whip out your pistol and blast the next enemy one down.  Then, switch back to your sword and start hacking away at your foes! If you can’t seem to beat an enemy, don’t be frustrated, you are probably supposed to lose for a cut scene or something! Also, always kill the guys with rifles or pistols first because getting shot hurts, surprisingly enough.

Graphics: Great! The graphics are obviously toned down slightly because of the complexity of the game, as well as to include massive levels where you can run around wreaking havoc.

Sound/Music: Amazing! Once again for all the things this game incorporates, it sure has a lot to offer.  There is quite a bit of high quality dialogue in the game which is rather impressive.
