Flow Free is currently the number one free game app on the iTunes store. It’s an addictive puzzle app where you connect colors on a grid. It comes with two packs of free games. The Regular Pack is for all devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) and has game boards ranging from 5×5 to 9×9. 5×5 means the game board is a grid five columns across and five rows down, which also makes it the easiest level. There are 5 pairs of colored dots in the grid, and you have to connect them without crossing the lines. There is also a Jumbo Pack included for free which contains 10×10 through 14×14 boards for the iPad. You can purchase more levels for $0.99.
I zipped through the 5×5′s thinking this game was just too easy, then I got to level 4 on the 6×6 boards and suddenly was stumped! I finally figured it out, but after some research on the game I noticed that a lot of people are searching for answers to various levels. Free Flow becomes extremely challenging the bigger the board.
You can also play a time trial where you select from 1 minute, 2 minutes and 4 minutes and try and solve as many puzzles as you can within the time limit. I find this particularly fun because it adds an element of tension to the game.
Flow Free a well produced entertaining game that comes with 300 free levels. Who says you can’t get something for nothing?
