Mahjong Towers Touch is a tile matching game app from Big Fish Games, makers of the Big City Adventure apps. Technically Mahjong Towers is a puzzle app, though I like to also classify it as a zen app. When I play this game it relaxes me. Yesterday my blood pressure was boiling over something dumb at work and I pulled out the Mahjong Towers and was instantly calmed down.
Mahjong Towers is a solitaire game where you match patterns on tiles that have their sides exposed so they could slide out of their position to the right or to the left. The object is to release the two gold tiles. If you touch the screen anywhere there isn’t a tile, a magnifying glass appears. You can drag the magnifying glass over the tiles to see which tiles can be released or not. At the bottom of the screen there is a light bulb. If you click on it, the game will reveal some of the matching tiles. You can also shuffle the tiles if you want to rearrange them. If you use any of these tools to assist you, it will decrease your final score.
While you’re playing make sure to click on the settings icon on the lower left side of your screen. In the settings you can select from some soothing music options (or none) and you can also change out the patterns of your tiles.
The Mahjong Towers Touch app comes with 192 tile layouts and there is a new Daily Mahjong Towers game every day. I always recommend getting the paid version vs. the free version. Free versions generally are limited and come with advertising that eats up your battery life. Anyway. I love this game, it’s my new anti-anxiety drug.
