Guns on Wheels is a retro style arcade driving/shooting app. Guns on Wheels had a surprisingly good review on the app store, and I’m not really sure why. The game starts out with an intro that makes you think the game is going to be funny, or involve some sort of humor, and then just doesn’t deliver and becomes inevitably lame. Guns on Wheels is basically a more complex version of something like Space Invaders. There are bad guys (cars) on the screen that you have to kill or avoid. Your car automatically shoots at them and you can switch between weapons. You avoid the things they shoot at you, and shoot them back. There’s not really a great story line or anything to go along with it. So all in all you are left with a car driving on a road shooting stuff, which is once again, lame. Don’t waste your money.
Guns on Wheels Walkthrough / Guide
Don’t buy it, so then you don’t have to play it. But if you do, avoid bad things like missiles and bombs, and shoot everything else. Collect power-ups like hearts and money.
Graphics: Medium. It’s obviously supposed to be a retro style game, which is OK. But it really doesn’t deliver on many fronts.
Sound/Music: Medium. Not that great as well. The sounds are ok, but the sound of your car shooting quickly gets annoying.
Pros: I deleted it.
Cons: You can’t tell what things are because of the graphics. You see things rolling towards you which looks totally unrealistic for traveling at a high speed on a freeway. Then all of a sudden you realize that it’s a bad thing. When something shoots at you, it shoots a bullet that is light blue and it’s like 1×1 pixel and you can barely see it. Maybe it’s to make it challenging but i thought it was quite annoying. There’s nothing but you moving around on the screen and switching guns.
