Star Warfare: Alien Invasion is yet another great game, ruined by too many in-app purchase opportunities. Star Warfare is a free 3rd person shooter app. The game itself is quite interesting where you fight multitudes of aliens and other creatures. There is a co-op function that helps you connect with other players online to defeat larger bosses that you would not normally be able to defeat on your own. It’s a great game. The problem is that the game was created with a pay system so that you can buy all the great guns and gear. This is a problem because for you to buy the BEST gear all around it would cost you HUNDREDS of dollars. The other unfortunate part is that you would NEVER be able to attain that gear without it, since the only way to get the best gear is to pay for it. The game does not give you any currency with which to buy the best gear. This is extremely disheartening because this actually is an interesting game. The controls and environments are wonderful, and the graphics and sounds are great. Some companies need to learn that they would probably make more money if their pay scale was reduced drastically. Don’t make all the best gear hundreds of dollars, make it like $10, then instead of one or two people buying gear, everyone will and you would inevitably make more money.
Star Warfare: Alien Invasion Walkthrough / Guide
One of the first things that comes up with when you search for Star Warfare is a way to hack the money system. It looks like I’m not alone in thinking they charge way too much for their gun upgrades. Learning to strafe side to side while you shoot is important. Luckily this game has extremely easy and very smooth controls. To move your view without shooting simply touch the screen and slide your finger. The directional pad on the left controls forward/back and side/side movement. The fire button/directional pad controls your view while you are shooting. Learning to corral enemies into your field of fire by running backwards and shooting at the same time will help you. Make sure not to run backwards into an enemy though.
Graphics: The graphics are smooth and frame rate is great.
Sound/Music: Also good.
Pros: Good game, Great controls, Great Graphics. I really enjoy this game, and to be honest you CAN grind out the cash you need to be good, you will just never be as good as the guy that payed for it.
Cons: You can’t get the things you want without paying A LOT of your own money. The cheapest currency pack is $50.00 I think. REAL games don’t cost that much.
Addiction level: High. This is a great game, with a terrible pay system.
